Pro-life landlords could soon find that abortions are being sold on their property, regardless of lease contracts that prohibit the deadly procedures from being committed on the premises.
In today’s ever-expanding ‘wild west’ of abortion pill distribution, all an abortionist needs to officially become an online abortion pill dispensary is a phone, computer, and a partnership with a pharmacy. This is because in 2021, the Biden-Harris Food and Drug Administration (FDA) weakened the safety system for the abortion pill (REMS) to enable access to the deadly pills virtually, with little to no follow-up.
How does this impact pro-life property owners?
Virtual abortion pill dispensaries can operate anywhere — from inside a home, an office, or even something like a coffee shop. Therefore, the sale of abortion pills could be taking place on the properties of pro-life people across the United States without their knowledge. This would be in direct violation of the values held by pro-life Americans, that all life is sacred and worthy of protection from fertilization to natural death.
Even if a lease or contract prohibits abortions from being committed on the premises, the abortion lobby is discussing a workaround, caring little for the rights of property owners in this regard.

As an example, long-time abortion provider Linda Prine, who teaches early abortion techniques to family medicine residents at various locations in New York City including Planned Parenthood, recently wrote, “Further, some health centers have signed lease agreements that abortions will not be performed on the premises of the respective clinic site, though most lawyers agree that medication abortions are not performed on the premises of health centers. This is especially true for patients who may soon be able to pickup mifepristone at local pharmacies or who can now receive pills by mail.” [emphasis added]
Today, the abortion industry is even seeking to disguise abortion by presenting abortion drugs as “missed period pills,” selling them to women without a confirmation of pregnancy. Abortion clients are led to believe the drugs will merely “bring down a period,” allowing them to escape the knowledge of whether or not they killed their own preborn children.
It is clear the abortion industry is desperate to find clever ways to continue the lucrative practice of killing preborn human beings. Therefore, pro-lifers and other concerned property owners should seek legal counsel or consult a commercial real estate attorney to review the terms of leases and contracts they write for their tenants to guarantee they do not conflict with pro-life values by prohibiting abortions from being committed, sold and referred on the premises.
