A group of pro-life students led a counter-protest at a “Bans Off Our Bodies” abortion rally in St. Paul, Minnesota, where they were harassed and subjected to violent, racist, misogynist insults.
Ellisha Olson, community organizer for Campaign for Abortion Free Cities St. Paul, wrote about the experience for Students for Life of America. Though Olson herself is a woman of color and a sexual assault survivor, she and other minorities there were treated with despicable hatred by the abortion activists.
WARNING: Profanity and racist, abusive language.
“A handful of Caucasian girls immediately began to single out, jeer, and scream racist insults at my South-Asian friend Maya and me,” Olson wrote. “Despite both of us being women of color, we were called ‘white trash,’ ‘white supremacists,’ and told that we were ‘ugly and useless.’ Our amazing bodyguards, who were both African American, were also verbally attacked as one Caucasian man yelled at them, ‘Black men don’t matter.'”
Olson said these racist insults were not condemned by anyone among the pro-abortion activists. Watch the video here.
In addition to racism, Olson and her fellow pro-life advocates were subjected to sexual harassment from the abortion activists. “The Caucasian man who had been taunting our bodyguards told me and Maya, ‘You two must have sucked the guards’ d***s to get them to come out here with you,'” she said. “That led to the group of Caucasian girls standing in front of us and chanting over and over again, ‘D*** suckers.’”

Olson also was insulted and harassed due to her experience as a survivor of sexual abuse; she wrote that the abortion advocates said the assault should have been worse, and that she should have died. They also insulted her status as an adopted child.
“I explained to the woman that the circumstances of how you’re conceived don’t determine your worth as a human being, and for the woman that is unfortunately raped, she does have an option to either parent or work with an adoption agency, as my own biological mother did,” Olson said. “The pro-abortion woman responded back snidely, ‘Your mom obviously didn’t think you were worth it, then.'”
Pro-life groups have come under increasing attack from abortion advocates as the threat of Roe v. Wade being overturned looms. The horrific behavior Olson and her fellow pro-lifers were subjected to are just another example.
