Real Help for Women: A Woman’s Choice Celebrates 25 years of helping woman and babies

awomanschoice

In Louisville, Kentucky, there is a place where women facing unplanned pregnancies can go for real help. It’s called A Woman’s Choice & Necole’s Place. At A Woman’s Choice & Necole’s Place, women are offered more than a free pregnancy test and help paying for an abortion. Here, women are offered real choices.

The free and confidential services that A Woman’s Choice Resource Center offers include free pregnancy testing, maternity and infant clothing and supplies, and counseling for women who have had abortions, as well as referrals for medical assistance, legal advice, financial assistance, community resources, and adoption services.  But their services go even further.

Women can participate in programs through Necole’s Place including parenting classes and tools for life classes such as money management, sexual integrity, health and fitness, cooking, stress management, GED tutoring, and relationship skills. Plus, University of Louisville students who are facing an unplanned pregnancy have access to resources to help them keep their babies and succeed in school. Plus, the website gives accurate information on the stages of pregnancy and fetal development right alongside descriptions of different abortion procedures.

But it isn’t just for the women. A Woman’s Choice and Necole’s Place are there for the men, too, with everything from what rights a father has to how he can best support the mother of his child.

This year, A Woman’s Choice celebrate 25 years of service to women and their families. As a non-profit, they rely heavily on the generosity of others. Each year they hold numerous fundraising events, including the Baby Bottle Campaign, the Scramble for Life, Team Life Bike Ride, and their Annual Banquet. Each month they hold their Save a Life Tour, offering group tours for anyone who is interested in what A Woman’s Choice & Necole’s Place do. These tours help to educate current and potential doors, pastors and church staff, prospective volunteers, community leaders, and more about the necessary and life-saving work they do.

Their next tour is scheduled for November 20 and will include a live testimony for a board member, a breakdown of their services, a testimonial video from a client, and an on-site walkthrough. If you would like to participate or donate, please visit awomanschoice.org.
