‘Safe, legal, and rare’ is gone. Now it’s ‘more abortion, all the time.’
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has positioned herself as a pro-abortion politician, and is cementing that legacy with a plea for the Biden administration to be doing more to push and promote the intentional killing of preborn human beings to the American public.
Whitmer recently appeared on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” where she said President Biden needed to not only speak about abortion more, but also needed to use more “blunt language.”
A massive shift has taken place when it comes to abortion advocacy. Not long ago, the mantra was that abortion needed to be “safe, legal, and rare.” Now, it’s that abortion not only must be legal, but that it must be celebrated, commonplace, and taxpayer-funded as well. No longer is it permitted for politicians to just call for abortion’s legality; they must be proudly, vociferously, shouting about it from the rooftops at all times.
Images below may be disturbing to readers.
Moderator Margaret Brennan suggested that Biden doesn’t talk about abortion as much due to his supposed Catholic faith, and asked Whitmer if he needed to talk about it more frequently, to which Whitmer said yes.
“I know one tenet of his belief system is that women and only women, with their families and healthcare professionals, are the ones who know what decision is right for them. And that he is fighting and going to continue to fight to make sure that that is squarely the ability of an American woman to make that decision,” she said.
Dear Reader,
Every day in America, more than 2,800 preborn babies lose their lives to abortion.
That number should break our hearts and move us to action.
Ending this tragedy requires daily commitment from people like you who refuse to stay silent.

Whitmer continued, “I think people want to know that this is a president that is fighting. And I think he has said that. To use maybe more, you know, blunt language, maybe that would be helpful.”
Bluntly, abortion is the intentional killing of a human being who is developing in the womb. Even in the first trimester, this human being is amazing complex and rapidly growing and developing, with functional organs and body systems. Abortion violently destroys that life.
Biden has not only been an outspoken abortion advocate, but has also referenced his Catholic faith on a regular basis. This position is one that has been criticized by Pope Francis as being “incoherent.” And despite Whitmer’s claim that Biden isn’t talking about abortion enough, his 2024 presidential campaign has publicly said that abortion is the top priority, and includes a cross-country abortion tour, complete with pro-abortion rallies.
Vice President Kamala Harris has been laser-focused on touring to locations including college campuses, promoting the idea that individuals have a “right” to kill preborn human beings.
As governor of Michigan, Whitmer has advanced dangerously extreme pro-abortion legislation, and been criticized for calling abortion “good economics.”
