Singer Post Malone says being a dad has made him the ‘happiest he’s ever been’

Since welcoming his daughter in May 2022, singer Post Malone has had some heartwarming words about fatherhood, noting that he’s the “happiest he’s ever been.” Malone opened up about his daughter last September in an interview with GQ, noting that being apart from her is one of the hardest parts of his job.

“It is great,” he said of fatherhood. “It’s really tough not being able to see her, but she’s coming out more often now. She’s huge, she’s super tall, and she’s such a legend and I’m just happy to see her. But it is heartbreaking having to leave and not be able to be with her all the time.”

In an April 2023 Instagram post, he noted that he’s been focusing on his health so that he can be around longer for his daughter.

“I wanted to say that I’m not doing drugs, I’ve had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and I’d suppose, performance on stage,” he wrote. “I’m having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier. I guess dad life kicked in and I decided to kick soda, and start eating better so I can be around for a long time for this little angel.”

More recently, Malone discussed his daughter during a recent podcast episode of “Call Her Daddy” with Alex Cooper. When Cooper asked him to share his greatest fear, he said, “I guess not being able to be there for my baby, which is a new fear. That’s why I tried to slow down on drinking, to take better care of my body.”

While Malone joked that his daughter’s first words will be “my credit card number,” he said on a more serious note he is the “happiest I’ve ever been, so you know, I’ll pay all the money in the world.”

He also praised his fiancée, whom he called the “number one mom.”

“I’ve always wanted kids and like, a big family,” he said. “And I could tell she was going to be a really good mama.”
