Sisters adopted by different families search for their long-lost brother

adoption, adopted, sisters, search for brother

A group of sisters, all adopted into different families, are searching for their biological brother and hoping social media can help.

Catrina Palmer posted a video on TikTok with her sisters, hoping to find their brother. “If your name is Giovanni, and you were born at Tampa General Hospital on February 14, 2009, and you’re 15 years old, and your parents are the doctors who delivered you, we’re your sisters,” they said. “And we want to meet you!”

Over 50 million people have since seen the video.

@catpalmer16 Our biological parents struggled with addiction for many years, causing us all to enter foster care. We were adopted in pairs, with the exception of our brother, Giovanni. Two of us are here in Tampa Bay, but we all found each other. “We have so many people helping us, which is pretty cool,” Palmer told TODAY, explaining. “He’s the missing piece.” In an update, they said they haven’t found Giovanni yet, but remain hopeful.

Palmer and her sister, 22-year-old Gigi, went through multiple foster placements after their biological parents struggled with addiction. After they were eventually adopted, they were raised in Florida, and later learned they had more sisters: Alexia, 20, Anna, 19, Monica, 18, and Bella, 13. They were all able to meet in 2019.

“We were all raised quite differently, but in terms of personalities, we’re so similar. We even have the same mannerisms,” Palmer said. “After knowing each other for a few minutes, we were snuggled up and talking about everything. It just instantly felt like home.”

Their biological parents are now sober, and the girls all have relationships with them. Their family is now in regular communication, despite being spread out across the country. All that’s missing now is Giovanni. “If someone is having a hard day, we’re all on FaceTime cheering her up. We’re making up for lost time,” she said. “Once we find Giovanni, we’ll be complete. I know he’s out there, and we can’t wait to meet him.”
