Since Friday’s tragic shooting – condemned by leaders in all spheres of the pro-life movement – Planned Parenthood has been politicizing the killings in a particularly polarizing manner.
Never one to back away from attempting to distract and disingenuously dissuade the public, the abortion giant has accused everyday pro-lifers of creating a “toxic” environment that caused the shooting. But what do the facts show? If there is, in fact, a “toxic” environment, what is it, and who really caused it?
Planned Parenthood President, Cecile Richards, gave CNN her thoughts on the matter:
It is really disturbing to see the kind of hateful rhetoric that’s been talked about both about Planned Parenthood, about the women who come to us, about the doctors who do provide health care. It’s very hard to see these kind of violent incidents which I think, sometimes, this rhetoric fuels.
In sum, Richards blames the average American pro-lifer for “hateful rhetoric” and the “toxic environment” (mentioned elsewhere in official Planned Parenthood statements).
There’s a quite a few problems with this, not the least of which is that the Colorado Springs Police Department has urged everyone to wait for official confirmation of a motive so that the investigation and prosecution of the shooter is not impacted. Instead, Planned Parenthood barges full steam ahead, pushing its own political agenda rather than seeking justice for the victims of this tragedy. Since that would require waiting until the facts are actually uncovered, Planned Parenthood refuses. We see, before our very eyes, how the raw politicization of lives taken is more important to Planned Parenthood than life itself.
But should that be so shocking?
Another problem with the abortion giant’s preemptive politicizing is that the organization is pointing its finger at millions of Americans – at roughly half the nation – and stating that this insane shooting is our fault. Thanks, for that un-toxic sentiment.
But if we really, truly, honestly want to talk about toxic environments and who causes them, I, for one, would gladly invite Planned Parenthood to the conversation. After all, Planned Parenthood is the one who’s racked up state investigative reports, settlement agreements, and lawsuits – all proving that these “health care clinics” are toxic environments for the women who enter them.
Not only does Planned Parenthood defraud each one of us through Medicaid fraud and similar taxpayer billing abuses, but it also, more egregiously, turns minor girls back over to their abusers and rapists – after performing abortions on them and violating reporting laws in the process. (In one recent case – incidentally in Colorado – the abortion giant scurried to make a top-secret settlement with a teen girl’s mom after the judge commented that PP’s conduct had been so outrageous that punitive damages would be appropriate.)
Who, again, has created this “toxic environment”? Who has defrauded and injured and harmed women – including Planned Parenthood patients?
Why, Planned Parenthood, of course.
Ayanna Byer – another Colorado woman – was also subjected to PP’s toxic environment. She showed up to her abortion, ironically at the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood, and changed her mind while on the operating table. But she reported that she was physically forced to stay there against her will, and the abortion was badly botched. When Ms. Byer later showed up in a hospital emergency room, her life was saved – no thanks to Planned Parenthood. The hospital’s treating physician wrote, in a certified review, that he believed the abortion giant had abandoned its patient.
It’s not “hateful rhetoric” to point out Planned Parenthood’s sweeping corruption. It’s not a “smear campaign” to call the abortion giant a criminal enterprise, when, in fact, it is. It’s factual – and absolutely necessary – to tell the truth to the American people about what Planned Parenthood actually does.
Planned Parenthood actually abandons minor girls to rape, incest, and abuse.
Planned Parenthood actually lies to women and has been accused multiple times of forcing and botching abortions.
Planned Parenthood actually commits negligence against the women who turn to them, causing their untimely deaths during abortion.
Planned Parenthood actually admits it kills human beings.
Faye Wattleton, the “longest reigning president” of Planned Parenthood agreed that people know the reality of abortion: it is a killing. everyone already knows that abortion kills. In an interview with Ms. Magazine she said:
I think we have deluded ourselves into believing that people don’t know that abortion is killing. So any pretense that abortion is not killing is a signal of our ambivalence, a signal that we cannot say yes, it kills a fetus.
Did you get that? Planned Parenthood pretends it is on moral high ground as it decries the tragic killing of three people in Colorado while admitting to killing hundreds of human beings on a daily basis.
Toxic, much?
It’s not hateful rhetoric to point out that Planned Parenthood kills innocent children, breaks the law, and hurts women and girls.
It’s the truth.
