Actress Sophia Bush gets Instagram pushback for pro-abortion op-ed

In 2022, she alleged that a child had to die so she could get her man. Now, actress Sophia Bush is claiming the Republican Party is on a ‘mission’ to destroy women with protections for preborn human beings. And Instagram users are not having it.

Last year, Bush celebrated her husband’s ex-girlfriend’s abortion as the reason she could have a future with him, though she filed for divorce after just 13 months of marriage.

In a recent op-ed for The Daily Beast, Bush claimed, “One of the Republican Party’s top missions is to take women’s reproductive autonomy away,” and asserted that the GOP has planned “a full-frontal assault on women’s rights.” She griped that during the most recent GOP presidential debate, only 15 minutes were dedicated to the topic of abortion. In addition to perpetuating the lie that supporting abortion until birth is “not a thing,” Bush accused the presidential candidates of lying and scolded the moderators for not focusing on abortion during the debate. She even called their discussions on the economy, healthcare, immigration, and national security nothing more than “fear-mongering.”

Commenter Tarahlin remarked on Bush’s Instagram post promoting the op-ed, saying, “While I believe abortion rights are important, I think foreign affairs and the state of our economy are 1000x more important.”

Another abortion supporter wrote, “Not trying to argue with you because I support the freedom to get an abortion (within reason) but isn’t it possible that they just believe life starts upon conception and this has nothing to do with controlling women’s bodies? Is it possible they just think it’s wrong to kill what they consider to be an unborn child? I know many decent pro life people and they’re not a monolith of evil women controllers. Not every position we as Americans disagree on needs to be cause for demonizing the other side. It’s bad for America. That’s all. Have a nice weekend.” (emphases added)

Another commenter wrote, “I think anti-choice is a strong choice of words if they’re choosing life. Most [R]epublicans aren’t anti-choice rather pro-life.”

Pro-lifer K.flowers.13 said, “Maybe we just care about the babies [sic] body too? There’s space to care about both mom and baby.”

Commenter Jamiequarzenski thanked pro-lifers for saving her own baby from abortion, writing:

If i would’ve listened to someone like you when i showed up at the abortion clinic instead of the pro life that gave me more CHOICES than just flat out ☠️ my son would not be here! My life would not have changed so much for the better! If you say your prochoice then WHY DOES THE PRO”CHOICE” try to block women from hearing all their CHOICES from the prolife? Instead, they are blocking women from hearing CHOICES and guiding them in the murd3r mill and not letting them CHOOSE something else?

Its plain and simple your way of thinking is not pro CHOICE its pro D3ATH and that’s a FACT thank GOD FOR THE PROLIFE THAT HELPED ME AND MY SON AND MY OTHER 2 CHILDREN GET AWAY FROM A ABUSIVE DRUG ADDICTED EX HUSBAND! THANK GOD THEY HELPED ME FINANCIALLY SO THAT I COULD GET ON MY FEET AND PROVIDE FOR MY CHILDREN #prolife and now unfollowing.

Another commented, “Issue is women use abortion as birth control. Let’s be honest more women get abortions not because their life is at risk. Let’s stop pretending dems are for the people.”

Yet another said, “This is the hill you take a stand on over everything else going on in the country? Just proving how out of touch Hollywood is.”

The pro-life comments continued, and Ashley_elaine06 wrote, “The comments make me so proud. 👏👏Proof that the American people see past Hollywood’s sick and evil disregard for the preservation of LIFE. Does planned parenthood not provide birth control? Maybe instead of the money that went to Ukraine we can make this happen for the women in this country who have sex and take no accountability for creating life.”

In her piece, Bush accused the GOP of being “a pro-forced birth party” that doesn’t care what happens to babies after they are born and that “cruelty is the point” for pro-life politicians, calling laws protecting preborn humans “barbaric.” In reality, pregnancy naturally continues unless a miscarriage occurs or one uses force to end it through abortion.

What’s actually barbaric is what abortion does to preborn human beings who die by starvation, dismemberment, and forced cardiac arrest (all abortion procedures). Once they are killed, their bodies are flushed down toilets or disrespectfully tossed into dumpsters and medical waste bins as if they weren’t even human to begin with.
