Texas Christian University offers class credit for making pro-Planned Parenthood presentation

Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas is under fire for revelations that, despite its religious identity, it offers school credit for student internships with the abortion giant Planned Parenthood.

An email from the TCU history department obtained by Students for Life of America advertises that Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas seeks a “volunteer historian” to conduct “a project highlighting its history in Fort Worth since it was established here in 1935.”

The project would include reviewing PPGT’s archives, “interviewing local families who have long been involved in support of PP,” and exploring themes of “local history, gender, and the history of health care,” with the final result being a 5-10 minute video or presentation PPGT could use to promote its activities to other organizations in the Fort Worth area.

In response, SFLA president Kristan Hawkins called it “a disgrace” for TCU to “reward students for spending valuable time volunteering for an organization that ends the lives of over 325,000 innocent human beings a year.”

SFLA further noted that Planned Parenthood Greater Texas was among the affiliates implicated in the Center for Medical Progress’s undercover investigation, with Planned Parenthood Austin abortionist Amna Dermish caught on tape calling the opportunity to harvest a brain from an aborted baby “something to strive for”:

As Live Action News recently covered, Christian tolerance for abortion is a point of major concern in the pro-life movement. Despite unambiguous Biblical teachings that taking innocent human life at any stage of development is an intrinsic evil, Pew recently reported that only 30% of churchgoers have heard abortion discussed in their churches.
