WATCH: If a preborn baby is old enough to be sold for parts, he is old enough to be protected

In just a few weeks, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments on Mississippi’s ban on abortions after 15 weeks. In preparation for this, the Center for Medical Progress has released a new video explaining why the Supreme Court should uphold state limits on abortion.

The case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, will give SCOTUS the opportunity to reconsider Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in the United States, as well as Planned Parenthood v. Casey, the 1992 case that affirmed that states could not ban abortions before viability. In the Mississippi case, the court will consider whether all pre-viability prohibitions on elective abortion are unconstitutional.

Led by Founder and President David Daleiden, the Center for Medical Progress has conducted dozens of undercover investigations revealing Planned Parenthood officials admitting that babies older than 15 weeks are needed for organ harvesting. In their new video, the organization argues that if a baby is old enough to be trafficked for body parts, he or she should be old enough to be protected by the law.

“Top abortion industry leaders caught on undercover video admit in their own words that the babies in the womb whose human vulnerability is now before the Supreme Court are the most at risk for organ trafficking for experiments,” Daleiden said in a media advisory. “There is only one answer the Supreme Court can give in the Dobbs case, which is to recognize the obvious, overriding constitutional interests the people of this country have in protecting infants in the womb from lethal abortion.

He continued, “The discriminatory, unequal, and violent treatment the Court once authorized toward so-called ‘pre-viability’ human infants has led to tragic and lethal consequences for our communities, and it is totally inconsistent with who we are supposed to be as a country. Now at last is the time for a new and more humane way forward.”

The video referenced the stomach-churning experiments on aborted human fetuses occurring at the University of Pittsburgh, and the local Planned Parenthood’s participation in the trafficking of aborted children. One sickening example includes a NIAID-funded study where the scalps of aborted babies were grafted onto lab mice. The scalps came from aborted babies ages 18 to 22 weeks.

In addition, the video aptly noted that abortion and abortions yielding babies for experiments disproportionately affects minorities. Black Americans make up only 13% of the population nationwide, but Black women account for approximately 34% of abortions. When it comes to harvesting baby parts for experiments, women of color are specifically targeted by some research labs.

For example, the GenitoUrinary Development Molecular Anatomy Project (GUDMAP) project for harvesting fetal kidneys at the University of Pittsburgh “set explicit racial quotas for body parts. In fact, Live Action News previously reported that public records released by Judicial Watch and the Center for Medical Progress included a $3 million grant application the university submitted to NIH to become a “fetal distribution hub” for GUDMAP.

In another example, a CMP undercover investigation revealed Planned Parenthood suggested harvesting from all Black women “because it’s easier.”

“Abortion past 15 weeks clearly commodifies human beings and perpetuates some of the worst social injustices that should be recent enough for states to do everything they can to limit it and that shouldn’t be controversial,” the video stated.

As Live Action News has repeatedly reported, viability is often based on politics rather than science. At 15 weeks, a preborn child has a beating heart, growing teeth, fingers, and toes. Babies born as young as 21 weeks are capable of surviving outside the womb with medical intervention.

Moreover, the new video also examines the consequences of unlimited legal abortion. The most notorious example is Dr. Kermit Gosnell who was convicted in 2013 of multiple counts of murder for viable aged babies. Sickeningly, he killed babies by delivering them alive and snipping their necks in his “house of horrors.” Even though this illegal activity was happening for years, the government never investigated it because of concerns that Gosnell’s previability abortions would be impacted.

“Old cases like Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey are outdated and just don’t make sense anymore,” the video stated.

The Dobbs case presents a landmark opportunity to revisit Roe v. Wade and protect innocent preborn children.
