Operation Rescue has uncovered a 911-call from a Planned Parenthood at 201 North Hamilton Street in Richmond, Virginia, which indicates a woman was injured during an abortion procedure at the business.
The 911 call occurred on April 12, 2024. According to Operation Rescue, the caller stated the “patient is currently having (emphasis added) a termination procedure done and, it looks, appears to be a possible uterine perforation.”
“Because the caller said the woman was ‘currently having’ an abortion, we do not know if the baby was still alive,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “We know this Planned Parenthood killing center performs abortions up to 22 weeks gestation. The thought of what this precious child may have been going through during the 911 call is unbearable!”
Another staffer, possibly the abortionist, then got on the line and told the dispatcher the woman was stable, but had experienced fainting and vomiting — an indication of low blood pressure. Then, as this staffer waited for the dispatcher to contact the ambulance, the staffer was heard laughing casually in the background, as if a potential uterine perforation was nothing unusual for staff to experience.
Finally, the staffer asked that the ambulance arrive at a back door without lights or sirens. This is a tactic commonly used by abortion businesses who don’t want to alert the public that women are being injured within their walls. It is a potentially dangerous request in clear disregard for the health and well being of women, since turning off lights and sirens prevents the ambulance from arriving to and transporting patients as quickly as possible. The dispatcher explained that they are not allowed to request no lights or sirens, and that their use would depend on “how it codes on their end when it goes to their system in the ambulance.”
Previously, this facility was found to have a number of health code violations, where inspections discovered filth, botched abortions, and failures in the areas of quality management. According to Operation Rescue, the facility at one time botched a woman’s abortion, which necessitated a second procedure weeks later. These injuries are only those that have been reported by pro-life witnesses; there could be others of which the pro-life movement is unaware.
“The American public must be made aware of these far-too-common occurrences,” stated Newman.
