Planned Parenthood claims to be the largest provider of sex education in the country, with schools across the nation allowing the corporation to counsel children about sex, birth control, abortion, and more. But some schools seem to have become less than enthusiastic about associating with Planned Parenthood.
In Washington, the Spokane Public Schools Board has tabled discussion on adopting a new Planned Parenthood sex ed curriculum after a member of the Human Growth and Development Citizens Advisory Committee removed support. There is now no date scheduled for discussion on adopting the curriculum. The program in question, according to Breitbart, is “Get Real,” an LGBT-friendly comprehensive sex ed curriculum developed by Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts (PPLM).
Spokane isn’t the first city to drop Planned Parenthood recently. Earlier this year, Saline Area Schools in Michigan announced they would no longer work with Planned Parenthood to provide sex education, saying the abortion chain is “too divisive.”
It’s not difficult to see why Planned Parenthood’s sex education would be considered divisive. A Live Action investigation uncovered disturbing and dangerous advice being given to children by Planned Parenthood counselors across the country:
Planned Parenthood receives taxpayer funding specifically earmarked to provide sex education to children, but many parents would likely be shocked to discover what that education consists of. Teenagers were encouraged to experiment with BDSM and to play with urine and feces, and counselors even promoted bestiality. Planned Parenthood staffers also encouraged the underage teenagers to break the law by visiting sex shops to get things like whips and ties and also told them to watch porn to get ideas and act them out.
Most disturbing were the constant recommendations to engage in BDSM. Teenagers were encouraged to try violent torture sex and to try things like horse whips, clamps, and ropes and were told that sexual practices that leave them with burns and welts are acceptable and healthy. Asphyxiation, bondage, and gagging were also promoted, and girls were advised on how they could work their way up to anal sex. None of this was described as unsafe, unhealthy, or inappropriate for children – to the contrary, these violent practices were described repeatedly as not abusive, even if they leave bruises, welts, and burns.
This kind of perversion and dangerous counseling does not belong in our nation’s schools. Already, this is what is happening behind closed doors at Planned Parenthood facilities. Educators need to do what is best for their students and say no to Planned Parenthood’s twisted version of “sex ed.”
