Real-life accounts from women who experienced abortion at home after taking the abortion pill regimen range from disturbing to horrifying. Some report that the “fetus was floating in the water,” or the baby was aborted into the toilet, or was held in “my hands,” or was “flushed.” Tragically, in addition to seeing their dead baby, several say they experienced a great deal of emotional and physical pain during the process, including nightmares, post-traumatic stress, and grief.
Live Action News previously uncovered how the abortion industry was beginning to prepare women that they might see identifiable fetal parts after submitting to a chemical abortion (the abortion pill). And now that the industry has offloaded the abortion process to women who must deal with it alone, women are seeing their children.
Christina claimed that taking the abortion pill “felt like HELL!” and “was worse than labor with my son.” She added:
Within two hours of taking the second set of pills I had the baby in the toilet. When I turned around there it was in the sack and everything. I broke open the sack and held the helpless little baby in my hand. I cried and felt like I had just murdered someone so innocent.
She said she is having nightmares “all the time.”
Elizabeth G recounted her experience in a federal lawsuit filed by Whole Woman’s Health Alliance (WWHA), an abortion clinic chain. It stated that after taking the second drug in the abortion pill regimen, Elizabeth began to bleed heavily.
“There was so much pain and blood I thought I might die,” she said. Finally, she passed the gestational sac:
It was transparent yellow, about the size and shape of a tennis ball. When I picked it up, I could see the baby inside. He looked like a little gummy bear. I sat and held him and cried. Then I flushed my baby down the toilet.
She later suffered from anorexia, abusive relationships, and post-traumatic stress disorder, which a counselor traced directly to her abortion, according to the court document.
Leslie W also recounted her experience in the previously mentioned WWHA lawsuit response.
“My experience was incredibly scary and nothing like a normal period. The pain I felt was much more similar to labor contractions than normal cramps. I remember sitting on the toilet discharging blood while also vomiting and shaking all over.”
Even worse, “I got in the shower to wash away the blood. Suddenly, I passed a large mass that clogged the drain. Even though it looked like a blood clot, I realized immediately that it must be the baby,” she stated. “Not knowing what else to do, I bent down, scooped it out of the drain with my bare hands and, sobbing, flushed it down the toilet.”
She also suffered panic attacks and post-traumatic stress disorder, which she attributes to the chemical abortion, the court document stated.
Monica’s experience was mentioned in a recent article published by the Washington Post, which detailed a shadow network of groups illegally offering abortion.
The article claimed Monica began cramping after she took misoprostol, the second drug in the regimen. She described being in so much pain, that even a friend who previously took the abortion pill suggested that she “should go to the hospital.”
Instead, Monica said she got into a bath, when, according to the article, “She felt a flood of liquid in her underwear and stepped into the bath with her clothes still on. Lying back in the tub, she said, she felt some pressure release. Then she screamed. The fetus was floating in the water. Slightly smaller than her palm, the fetus had a head, hands, and legs, she said. Defined fingers and toes.”
“She leapt from the bath and collapsed in her boyfriend’s arms,” the article added. And later buried the fetus in her back yard under a tree where they hoped “that a dog wouldn’t catch the scent,” the article claimed.
“She learned later that her fetus matched descriptions of those roughly 13 weeks along, well beyond the 10-week cap set by the FDA for taking abortion pills,” the Post claimed.
She was told by the organization where she purchased the drugs that “feeling — sadness, relief, grief, anger — it was all normal,” the article stated.
Natalie recounted her agony after delivering her aborted child into a toilet in her home in the UK.
“I remember the time, it was like 5am. When it first started happening…”
She said it was painful like “being stabbed in the stomach” and she recalled somehow getting to the toilet “and that’s when I passed my baby,” she said through her tears.
“Like, I looked down, and I saw him. It wasn’t like a heavy period. It was like a baby. And, I looked down and I just looked up and I just can’t look anymore. It’s a child. It’s not like a bit of blood,” she emotionally said.
“And I must have flushed the toilet. Passed my baby into the toilet – flushed it… And I remember just falling to my knees…. And then I just lay in my bed. And I was just bleeding through the mattress. And I just lay there for about three days on my own, not wanting to speak to anyone,” she said. “Just trying my hardest not to think about what was happening,” she added.
Salome claimed that after taking the abortion pill, she “felt like my inside was being torn and sliced to pieces. I had blood all over my legs and went in the tub to wash them.”
“Right before the fetus came out, I started vomiting everything I had in my system since that morning,” Salome explained, according to Live Action News contributor Sarah Terzo, who reviewed the book “Shockwaves: Abortions Wider Circle of Victims,” which contained the account. “Then I bled some more and hurt some more. I started praying curled up in blood in the tub, for the first time in years. I don’t remember the last time I prayed before this happened.”
“After hours of hurting, I finally felt a huge physical relief, and the pain was immediately gone. I managed to get up. When I turned around, I saw the most heartbreaking thing I’ve ever seen [in] my entire life. I saw my child,” Salome recounted. “It was at that moment that it finally sunk in properly. I really had been pregnant. I had been carrying the life I created inside of me until that very moment.”
Salome said that she was regretful immediately and cried for hours, and placed the body of her dead child in a box while all she could do was say how sorry she was.
“I felt like a part of me died. I felt angry. I felt guilty. I felt like my world was coming to an end and that I was the most terrible person on this earth. I couldn’t believe what I was looking at. It was the most beautiful thing I ever created, and I destroyed it,” Salome tearfully said.
Tami also recounted her experience in the previously mentioned WWHA lawsuit response.
After several hours, “the pain and the urge to push were so intense” that she sat on the toilet. “I pushed until I felt something come out and I heard a sound. I looked down and screamed. It was not just a blob of tissue. I had given birth to what looked like a fully-formed, intact 14-week old fetus covered in blood.”
Then, “I scooped my baby out of the toilet. I sat on the floor and held him and cried. I cannot remember what I did with my baby afterwards.”
After bleeding for an excessive amount of time, the court document claims that Tami was told by the abortion facility to go to the ER or her family doctor.
“After the trauma of seeing her baby in a toilet, Ms. Morris endured eight years of alcoholism, divorce, suicidal thoughts, rage-filled outbursts, and debilitating depression,” the court document claimed.

After taking the abortion pill, one person anonymously wrote, “Minutes later – I was bleeding heavily. No one prepared me for the fact that it was going to physically see the body of my 9ish week old fetus in my toilet as I was arched over in pain. Days following, the regret became so overwhelming that I stopped eating. I stopped communicating with friends. I looked at my sweet 5 month old boy and apologized profusely – ‘I’m so sorry that I took away your brother or sister. ‘”
A separate writer who claimed she did not regret her abortion wrote, “The medical abortion was a physically excruciating process. It took about three weeks for the fetus to completely leave my body. At eight weeks and six days, it had almost tripled in size since I’d seen its heartbeat, with limbs and eyes already growing. Holding the lifeless fetus in my hand, I don’t think I’ve ever cried harder… Months of guilt and grief would turn into years. The disjunction I felt with everything and everyone permeated every aspect of my life.”
On AskPatient.com, another woman posted, “i laid back down and put a warm pad on my belly. then the pain came back even worse then before. i felt a strong urge to push. ran back to the bathroom and as soon as i sat down something heavy came out of me. i got up and seen the baby sack. it was as big as an actual egg. everything on the inside of it was see through. i hunched over the toilet and cried. this is not for the faint of heart.”
‘What do I do now?’ Women ask pregnancy help centers
Jor-El Godsey, president of Heartbeat International, which has thousands of pregnancy help centers around the world, recently told CBN News that they have received phone calls from traumatized women who aborted their baby at home with the abortion pill “where they are literally looking at their aborted child in the palm of their hand and calling us and asking ‘What do I do now?'”
“We have been told some women buried their child on their own property, like the backyard,” Godsey told Live Action News.
He pointed out that while these calls are not common, “they have happened,” he said. “This has not been common enough to develop a ‘one size fits all’ protocol, but we will encourage a respectful burial to remember and honor that life. We share that some communities have cemeteries for pregnancy loss (often funded by Catholic Hospitals).”

New Mexico: In September 2020, an abortion client “unexpectedly delivered remains of her deceased baby at home,” according to the pro-life group Southwest Coalition for Life, which was outside the New Mexico abortion facility when the woman and her boyfriend showed up. Live Action News previously reported that the woman known as “Jane Doe” had taken the abortion pill, but it failed as it often does. The abortion facility then convinced her to undergo a surgical abortion, which also failed.
Extremely upset, the abortion client showed up with her dead aborted child and clinic staff took the baby’s remains. “When Jane asked for the remains back — to which she had legal rights — staff allegedly refused, stating, ‘it’s mine now,’” according to a Facebook post from pro-life group Abortion on Trial (AOT). The facility then had the abortion client arrested.
The charges against the woman were eventually dropped.
AOT attorney Mike Seibel later filed a complaint with the state’s medical board on behalf of the woman, accusing the abortionist, Franz Theard, of patient abandonment, calling his actions “unprofessional, unethical, and borderline criminal conduct” as well as “a violation of the licensing act.”

Planned Parenthood: A separate lawsuit filed against Planned Parenthood accused the organization of miscalculating a woman’s pregnancy so egregiously that she painfully delivered a “fully formed” 30 to 36-week baby boy (whom she named J.T.) into a toilet.
The lawsuit alleges that Planned Parenthood “failed to perform any type of ultrasound or other scan” on the woman identified as Jane Doe “to accurately confirm the gestational age of the fetus.” The lawsuit also contends that after the Planned Parenthood doctor prescribed the abortion pill regimen to Jane Doe, she “began taking the medication on May 4, 2020 to proceed with the abortion of what she believed was a six-week old fetus.”
But the lawsuit reads:
Plaintiff began her regimen of Mifeprex and misoprostol on May 4, 2020.
That evening, Plaintiff began experiencing painful cramping and pressure.
Plaintiff went into full labor in the early morning hours of May 5, 2020.
Plaintiff experienced extreme and painful accelerated changes to her body, including a vaginal laceration or tear, as the delivery progressed.
At approximately 3:00 am, while sitting on the toilet, Plaintiff gave birth to a fully formed, stillborn baby boy named J.T.
Plaintiff was shocked and traumatized when she saw the lifeless, fully-formed baby in the toilet covered in mucous, blood, and the placenta.
Jane Doe alleges that after Planned Parenthood saw her lifeless baby boy, staff sought to “dispose of J.T. and told her not to call law enforcement.”
The complaint also alleges, “Instead of directing Plaintiff to the nearest emergency room, and despite knowing that J.T. was a fully-formed baby, Defendants directed Plaintiff to bring J.T. across county lines to Dr. Shah at the White Plains Center for examination of both J.T. and herself.”
The lawsuit then claims that after examining Jane Doe and her dead baby, Planned Parenthood determined the baby was 33-36 weeks old.
There is much more to this horrific story here.
These are real stories from real women or teens who took the abortion pill, and now that the Biden Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has made the deadly regimen even easier to access via the mail or retail pharmacies, these kinds of incidents will likely increase.
