40 Days for Life prevents over 471 abortions so far in 2016

40 Days for Life concluded its most recent campaign on Sunday, which it reports has saved at least 471 preborn babies nationwide.

The campaign, spanning from February 10 to March 20, also celebrated the closing of two abortion facilities: Women’s Pavilion in South Bend, Indiana, and Crist Clinic in Jacksonville, North Carolina. “Praise God for these blessings!” 40 Days for Life campaign director Shawn Carney said, announcing the news.

40 Days for Life’s campaigns consist of three parts: prayer and fasting, 24-hour prayer vigils outside Planned Parenthood locations, and community outreach such as engagement with college campuses, area churches, and local media.

The group’s past efforts, which have taken place in 607 cities and 32 countries around the world, have saved 11,165 lives, persuaded 127 abortion workers to quit, and seen 64 abortion facilities close, with the participation of 675,000 people and 18,000 churches.
