Ninety-Three Lives Saved by Day 10: Encouraging Reports from 40 Days for Life

Today marks Day 10 of the 40 Days for Life, and the organization has shared some encouraging stories from all over the United States and the world on their blog. As of today, there were 93 lives that were saved as a result of the pro-life campaign! There may be more, but these are the ones that they have actual knowledge about.

Here are a few highlights:

In Sacramento, the abortion clinic is closed on Saturday, which was once one of its busiest days for business.

In St. Paul, the volunteers had to find a new abortion location to pray at, because the location where volunteers prayed last year no longer does abortions.

Dear Reader,

Every day in America, more than 2,800 preborn babies lose their lives to abortion.

That number should break our hearts and move us to action.

Ending this tragedy requires daily commitment from people like you who refuse to stay silent.

Millions read Live Action News each month — imagine the impact if each of us took a stand for life 365 days a year.

Right now, we’re urgently seeking 500 new Life Defenders (monthly donors) to join us before the end of October. And thanks to a generous $250,000 matching grant, your first monthly gift will be DOUBLED to help save lives and build a culture that protects the preborn.

Together, we can end abortion and create a future where every child is cherished and every mother is supported.

The following story is reported from Jacksonville:

A woman driving out of the abortion facility’s parking lot stopped at the sidewalk and rolled down her window and called out to the prayer volunteers. They were too far away to understand what she was saying, so one of the volunteers moved closer to see what message she wanted to share.

She said she’d been forced to come schedule an abortion — although she never explained exactly what she meant, or who was pressuring her. But when she arrived to make the arrangements, she saw 40 Days for Life volunteers in prayer – and that made her realize she could not go through with the abortion.

“She very proudly proclaimed that she was now going to have the baby,” the volunteer said, “and once again thanked me for being out there praying for her. What a beautiful start to our 40 Days for Life!”

In Beaumont, a couple talked with volunteers on their way into the abortion clinic. Before they even made it inside, however, they talked with volunteers from the 40 Days for Life. As a result, they decided to keep their child, get married, and visit the local pro-life clinic!
