Planned Parenthood plans national strategy to expand abortion

Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood is mapping out plans for the future after the fall of Roe v. Wade, following through on its threats to fight for abortion until it is legal across the entire country. And last week, the corporation held had a war meeting to work on its strategy — accompanied by some very influential people.

The Associated Press reported that Planned Parenthood leaders from 24 states met in Sacramento, California, on Friday to launch what is being called a “counter-offensive” against the pro-life movement. The goal is to make California the nationwide ideal, with virtually no protections for preborn children whatsoever in place.

California Attorney General Rob Bonta was one of several politicians who spoke to the group, and called for abortion advocates to channel the alleged “ruthless energy” of pro-lifers to forward their agenda. “Anti-freedom states have been playing the long game,” he said. “They have successfully led a ruthless, coordinated siege on reproductive freedom. It’s time that we play that game as well.”

Meanwhile, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sent a video message, calling for the abortion movement to mobilize so Democrats can take both chambers of Congress in the fall — allowing them to pass pro-abortion legislation into law. “We can only get so far through our inside maneuverings,” she said. “We also need your outside mobilization to rally support at the grassroots level, as you do so well.”

U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Xavier Becerra also spoke to the Planned Parenthood leaders, claiming that Supreme Court justices “went and told 330 million Americans that we’re going to rip away a right that you had.”

The Associated Press reported last month that Planned Parenthood plans to spend $50 million on the midterm elections, its largest ever spending record. This comes even though the abortion giant has already spent massive sums of money since the Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization overturned Roe, — the most second-quarter spending it has ever done in its history. It has been lobbying in favor of the failed Women’s Health Protection Act (which would do far more than restore the stipulations of Roe), as well as for women to be able to get abortions in the military.

Planned Parenthood’s most recent annual report shows that in 2020, the corporation committed a record high of more than 380,000 abortions and received a record amount of taxpayer dollars.
