Live Action recently took to Times Square to ask people their views on abortion. They spoke to one man who admitted that he was pro-choice and supported abortion all the way to birth — only to have him completely change his mind after he watched a powerful video demonstrating what abortion actually entails:
The man, Herbert, admitted to interviewers that he didn’t know anything about how an abortion is performed, but said, “It should be available all the way until birth.” He was then shown a video from the Live Action “What is Abortion” series, demonstrating a second trimester dilation and evacuation (D&E) abortion.
“Wow, that’s too much. Wow, oh Lord, have mercy,” he remarked as he viewed the video animation of the preborn child being torn apart and pulled from the womb limb by limb.
“Wow, this is crazy, I didn’t know none of this.”
As he finished the video, he called it “a lot of information that I wasn’t aware of.”
“It’s emotional, very emotional, to listen to that kind of suffering that babies go through when parents don’t want them,” he said.
He then revealed his radical mindset shift. “I don’t support it, no way. Whatsoever. Absolutely no abortion whatsoever. If you don’t want to have a baby, don’t have sex.”
When asked if he thinks others should view the video, he said, “Absolutely. Because people are ignorant. We think we know, but we really don’t know.”
Herbert is not alone in his previous misconceptions about what abortion really entails: the brutal and violent death of an innocent preborn child. The abortion industry thrives on peddling misinformation which masks this horrific reality, glossing over it with words like “freedom” and “empowerment,” telling women it’s the “American dream,” and dehumanizing the preborn child by calling her a “blob” or “clump of cells.”
What really happens is that the preborn child, who is growing and developing in her mother’s womb, is violently starved, ripped apart, or poisoned — and no human should have to endure such a horrific death.
