Pro-life watchdog group Operation Rescue reports that a woman was injured at a Chicago abortion business on September 12.
According to the computer-aided-dispatch report (CAD) and 911 records obtained by the Pro-Life Action League, the injury occurred at the Access Health Center abortion facility in Downers Grove. The 911-caller told dispatchers the woman started having seizures, was unresponsive, and had “blue lips” after the abortionist administered local anesthesia in preparation for a surgical abortion.
Also notable during the 911-call was the fact that the caller requested the ambulance arrive “around the back.” This request is common among abortion facilities who don’t want an ambulance arriving at the front door to draw attention to the fact that abortion is dangerous and women are injured inside.
There have been numerous reported injuries at this abortion facility. Earlier this year, Operation Rescue reported that three women were sent to the hospital from Access Health Center in less than two weeks. One of the injured women experienced abnormal bleeding and another was hemorrhaging, while the third had an unknown injury.
Both in 2021 and 2022, patients in two separate incidents had to request that the facility call an ambulance for them after experiencing complications from an abortion injury. In the first incident, the caller stated the woman was “kind of fading in and out a little bit” of consciousness, yet somehow the abortionist and staff had expected her to drive herself to the hospital. Consistently, 911 callers from this facility downplay the seriousness of the injuries of the women they are supposed to be “helping.”
“Operation Rescue regularly reports about emergencies like this, where women’s lives are put in real danger because they believed the myth of ‘safe abortion,’” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “There is no such thing as a ‘safe’ abortion, and it is absolutely necessary for the public to know the truth about abortion: babies are being killed, and so are mothers!”
