12 things famous people said about violence

While abortion is often explained away in terms of “choice,” “reproductive rights,” and other such nonsense, the truth is actually very simple.

Abortion is a violent act. In fact, it is the most violent act of all, because it goes so far as to strip an innocent person of her life in an inhuman and cruel way. At the end of this article are two medically accurate descriptions of abortion (in case you wonder how violent it really is).

1) Albert Einstein

The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything.

Convicting, no? Evil does not have the power to destroy the whole world. It just doesn’t – no matter what evil people think, Good and Right and Truth are always stronger. Always. Yet we can never allow ourselves to stand by and watch evil, exclaiming at its horror, yet never actually acting. After reading the accurate descriptions of abortion below, are you content to sit by and watch this kind of evil continue?

2) Johnny Depp

If you don’t like seeing pictures of violence towards animals being posted, you need to help stop the violence, not the pictures.

What if we applied this to abortion?

3) Charlize Theron

Hundreds of thousands of women and girls have been beaten, tortured and raped—atrocities beyond anything that I have ever heard of or could imagine… For a problem so big and so complicated, where do you begin? What I have found and what I believe is that you begin somewhere, anywhere, but you must begin. You must act. As you read this, consider your humanity. Consider for one moment if you or your sister, your mother or your daughter lived in such a dire situation—then act.

So true. Consider if you or your sister or your mother or your daughter reverted back to the embryonic stage of human development. How would you act on her behalf? How would you want someone to act on your own behalf? You can do something, so start that something today!

There remains what can seem like an impenetrable wall of silence around violence, and we must all play a role in breaking this silence.

Absolutely. Yes. Decide that today, right now, you will break the silence. The truth about abortion must be broadcasted to the world, in all of its horror. Only then, I believe, will it end.

5) Martin Luther King, Jr.

The question is no longer between violence and non-violence; it is between non-violence and non-existence.

6) Isaac Asimov

Violence is the last refuge of the incompetent.

Instead of finding legitimate ways to truly aid pregnant women, Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry have made a business out of violence.

7) Lord Francis Jeffrey

Opinions founded on prejudice are always sustained with the greatest of violence.

There is no other way inequality can continue indefinitely. It always resorts to violence. And abortion is the height of inequality, prejudice, and discrimination, since innocent human beings are targeted for death based on their dependence, level of development, size, and environment. (For a video that explains this, go here.)

Obama8) Barack Obama

We will stand against violence and intimidation. We will stand for the rights and dignity of all human beings.

Science clearly, beyond a shadow of a doubt, calls all unborn children “human beings.” So, according to his own words, the president should not support abortion – an act of violence against humans.

9) Jessica Lange

There can be no better measure of our governance than the way we treat our children, and no greater failing on our part than to allow them to be subjected to violence, abuse or exploitation.

Or intentional killing – the ultimate expression of violence, abuse, and exploitation.

10) Salma Hayek

There is a subconscious way of taking violence as a way of expression, as a normality, and it has a lot of effects in the youth in the way they absorb education and what they hope to get out of life.

The views of young people in our world cannot help but be influenced by the rampant abortion that takes place. Some participate in abortion themselves and are scarred. Others discover that their siblings were aborted, and this violence comes with its own host of problems.

11) Shakira

We have to promote human solidarity, avoid indifference, and play a part with society in the solution of the problem of violence…

Indeed. If we disagree with the violence that is occurring in our world – and how can we not?! – we must act. Instead of merely talking about solutions or criticizing the solutions of others, let us be the solution. Now is the time to act.

12) Herbert Ward

Child abuse casts a shadow the length of a lifetime.

Okay, Ward may not be famous, but his quote is priceless. While child abuse is horrific, child-killing is even worse. It does not only place a shadow over a lifetime – it extinguishes it completely. And the cost is more than we can bear.

Abortion Descriptions:

D&E Abortion – a common second-trimester abortion procedure. This description is from a former abortionist.

A second-trimester D&E abortion is a blind procedure. The baby can be in any orientation or position inside the uterus. Picture yourself reaching in with the Sopher clamp and grasping anything you can. At twenty weeks’ gestation, the uterus is thin and soft, so be careful not to perforate or puncture the walls. Once you have grasped something inside, squeeze on the clamp to set the jaws and pull hard – really hard. You feel something let go, and out pops a fully formed leg, about 4 to 5 inches long. Reach in again and grasp whatever you can. Set the jaw and pull really hard once again, and out pops an arm about the same length. Reach in again and again with that clamp, and tear out the spine, intestines, heart, and lungs.

The toughest part of a D&E abortion is extracting the baby’s head. The head of a baby that age is about the size of a plum and is now free-floating inside the uterine cavity. You can be pretty sure you have hold of it if the Sopher clamp is spread about as far as your fingers will allow. You will know you have it right when you crush down on the clamp and see a pure white gelatinous material issue from the cervix. That was the baby’s brains. You can then extract the skull pieces. If you have a really bad day like I often did, a little face may come out and stare back at you.

Suction abortion – likely the most common surgical abortion procedure performed in America, done in the first trimester. Here is a portion of an eyewitness account (you can read the rest for yourself):

My eyes shot back to the screen again. The cannula was already being rotated by the doctor, and now I could see the tiny body violently twisting with it. For the briefest moment the baby looked as if it were being wrung like a dishcloth, twirled and squeezed. And then it crumpled and began disappearing into the cannula before my eyes. The last thing I saw was the tiny, perfectly formed backbone sucked into the tube, and then it was gone.
