Michigan church silences speaker for pro-life message

Greg Hudson of Grace Church in Jackson, Michigan, found the pro-life speech he was giving on Friday outside First Congregational Church cut off when a member unplugged his microphone, with the apparent approval of FCC pastor Rev. Kerry Taylor-Snyder.

First Congregation Church was one of ten churches in the area visited that day as part of a flash mob demonstration organized by conservative Christians, with approximately 200 people engaging in song and dance to “glorify God” outside the church.

Hudson said he felt compelled to warn the congregation “that if we don’t repent and turn back to God, there is judgment coming to our nation,” due to America’s embrace of policies that defy and “defile” Him such as abortion. “I love the people and want them to come to a saving knowledge of Christ and to repent from their sins and turn to him.”

FCC congregant Ed Peterson says he unplugged the microphone system Hudson was using to shut down what he called his “hate message,” which was “inappropriate, rude, and ignorant”… “proselytizing.”

Taylor-Snyder was reportedly standing beside Peterson while he did it. He told reporters that his church, which is pro-choice, was “trying to be friendly and neighborly and we got taken advantage of.” He feared that people would associate FCC with Hudson’s strong pro-life message, undermining its reputation for “social justice.”

Hudson has said he intends to complete the speech on video and release it on YouTube to get the rest of his message out.
