Chicago pro-lifers: Empty Manger Christmas caroling THIS Saturday

The Chicago-based Pro-Life Action League is announcing that this Saturday, December 19, they will be conducting a pair of “caroling tours” at a handful of Planned Parenthood locations and other abortion clinics in Chicago, Illinois, and its suburbs.

The events are part of a broader nationwide awareness campaign called the “Empty Manger” Christmas Caroling Day, events from which have continued to take place on different days throughout December. “We need to be actively engaged in fighting abortion on the ground outside our nation’s abortion facilities,” Pro-Life Action League board member and Generations for Life director John Jansen says.
“Sometimes that means sidewalk counseling, sometimes that means protesting, and sometimes that means bringing the good news of the birth of Jesus Christ to the doors of the abortion clinic with peaceful Christmas caroling.”

The League calls Empty Manger caroling “one of our most beloved activities of the year,” which “brings the Christmas message of peace and joy to the darkness of the abortion clinic.” The empty manger is meant to symbolize both the anticipation of celebrating Jesus Christ’s birth and the joy of welcoming children into the world.

Pro-Life Action League further notes that both of Saturday’s tours will conclude at abortion facilities that have shut down in 2015.

The full schedule and location details for area pro-lifers interested in attending Saturday’s tours can be found here. Details on similar events nationwide, as well as resources to organize your own in your community, are available here.
