Haven of Hope, a home for women facing unplanned pregnancies in Cambodia, has welcomed three new babies in just 24 hours. Wilma Mishler, who has been a Christian missionary in Cambodia with her husband Jerry for fourteen years, opened Haven of Hope in 2015 in order to help young women carry their babies to term.

Last year, Mishler told Live Action News that she had “this intense feeling for a safe place for young women to come to be able to carry their pregnancy full term is just screaming at me.”

Now she has seen that dream come true.

On Chinese New Year, a yet to be named baby boy whom Mishler (pictured above) helped save was born one month early. His mother had to be rushed to the hospital, but Mishler and a friend from Youth With a Mission helped the mother get to the hospital safely and ensure she was not alone during the delivery.  The baby boy weighed just over five pounds and is doing well.

Within 24 hours, another mother Mishler has helped through Haven of Hope also went into labor. Her twin babies, Heang and Hong, were born at a clinic in Battambang. Hong weight over five pounds, and Heang weighed almost six. Both babies and their mother are doing well.

Mishler told Live Action News:

God already knows how many babies will be spared an awful fate of being murdered, and also to be able to give hope, a hand up, and for omen to be introduced to the Savior.

Haven of Hope provides support to women, including a safe place for women who want to choose life for their babies, prenatal and delivery care, proper nutrition, counseling, help with adoption if desired, and educational and skill training.
