Live Action’s latest comedy video features satire about “Men’s Locker Room Talk.” The video, titled, “What kind of men talk about women like this?” joins the lineup of several other Live Action comedy sketches which tackle pro-life issues with humor, including the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, how ‘pro-choice’ bosses seem to offer support mainly by supporting abortion, how ‘abortion rights’ are really ‘pro-choice men’s rights,” and so on.
In the latest video, the main character approaches another man (who we learn later is named “Gary”) in a men’s locker room to ask for advice on his upcoming date with a woman and his intention to “get to third base” with her. And from there, things begin to go sideways for the main character, who ends up wondering just what kind of locker room he’s wandered into.
“I love third base. You wanna, like, find out her hopes and dreams for her future. Nice!” says Gary in response.
“No, I just want her to take off—” says the main character, as he is interrupted by Gary.
“Take off any masks that she puts on for people she doesn’t feel she can fully trust. I get it. You wanna, like, listen to her share her heart. Get to know the real her,” Gary interjects.
“No…” says the main character, clearly confused and continuing to attempt to explain why he is “into this girl” he’s going to take on a date. Then another man (later identified as “Steve”) gets involved in the conversation. Gary and Steve then banter back and forth about how a woman’s “creative ambitions” are “such a turn-on” and how they “totally get it, too.”
As the comedy sketch continues, yet another man approaches, unfolding a large paper for Gary and Steve to view. The main character approaches, apparently expecting to see some sort of objectified woman on the paper, and instead he sees that the men are looking at a list of “How Best to Love My Wife Today: 10 Reminders.”
As the video goes on, the unexpected responses from the locker room men continue, as one man is asked “How many notches you got on your belt?” and he responds, “Six. Four girls, two boys,” referring to he and his wife’s children and displaying a family photo on his phone. “Yeah, my wife and I are crazy about these little munchkins.”
By the end of the video, the main character is clearly frustrated with the direction of the conversation, saying, “This is the weirdest locker room I’ve ever been in, and I’m just looking for some quality advice” about how he can have sex with “this chick” he’s taking on a date.
At first, the group of men all look at him, puzzled, and then one says, “So… you’re already thinking about marriage and kids! That’s AWESOME, man!”
