Planned Parenthood Day of Solidarity hijacks national tragedies to further its agenda

In a display of tragic irony, Planned Parenthood condemns the deaths in recent shootings in Colorado and in San Bernardino, California, for the ultimate purpose of furthering its own mass murders in abortion facilities nationwide.

The Planned Parenthood National Day of Solidarity is a day for the abortion provider to hold vigils across the nation. Its presentation of the event is skewed to manipulate people into thinking these mass shootings were all about Planned Parenthood. And while the Colorado shooting did occur at a Planned Parenthood – though by a lone deranged killer who had no ties to the pro-life movement of which we’re aware – the San Bernardino killings had zero connection to Planned Parenthood. Still, the abortion profiteer saw it as an opportunistic connection to further its own hateful rhetoric against pro-lifers. Planned Parenthood says:

After tragedies in Colorado Springs and San Bernardino, our nation is mourning. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families, and we stand with these communities as they work to heal and recover.

The Colorado Springs tragedy has shined a spotlight on an alarming increase in hateful rhetoric and smear campaigns against abortion doctors and patients, but also against the black community, immigrants, refugees, and the transgender community. And it is fostering an environment that breeds acts of violence.

Make no mistake: Planned Parenthood health centers will not be intimidated and they will not shut their doors. As always, it takes a lot to protect access to care during difficult times.

While the words are nothing new from the abortion giant, the timing and indications are quite inappropriate.

First, using someone else’s tragedy to make political statements is reprehensible. True pro-lifers in this nation hated the tragedy in Colorado Springs. Pro-lifers hate abortion, not people. Every major pro-life group immediately condemned the killings and called for prayer. But Planned Parenthood’s PR department used it as a springboard to incite fear – its own way of inflicting terror in the midst of other terror.

Additionally, the idea that Planned Parenthood would hold nationwide vigils in the face of the mass killing – when these vigils are supposed to decry the  “violence” in the nation – is insulting, since they are centered around the biggest killer of innocent people contending for more right to kill.

Planned Parenthood’s page for its vigils looks more like a media campaign to promote a product than to advocate for increased protections for legalized killing.  It says:

Wherever and to whomever it happens, Americans must reject the hatred and vitriol that has fueled violence against so many in our country. The time has come to say: Enough is enough. We will always stand strong against attacks in our communities — no matter what… Together we will take a stand against the dangerous rhetoric and extremism that has caused so much damage. Together, we will forge a new path forward so that we can continue to ensure all people are able to access the health care they need without fear of intimidation and violence.

Enough is enough, this is true. Enough deaths of innocent babies in communities across the nation. And the dangerous rhetoric and extremism is certainly reality – straight from the mouths of Planned Parenthood. To hijack mass killings in order to promote their own killing freedoms and further their political agenda shows that nothing is sacred in the face of abortion. Not the baby, not the innocent victims in Colorado or California.

Clearly Planned Parenthood’s mantra, “abortion on demand without apology,” includes diminishing real tragedy to promote its own causes. It’s a despicable agenda, but not a surprising one. Planned Parenthood’s true solidarity is in furthering death.
