Why Planned Parenthood couldn’t send its own doctors on a public relations tour

Planned Parenthood

It took 50 years, but Planned Parenthood has finally named another physician as its president. And oddly, the website she created to promote transparency within the medical profession has been scrubbed. As usual, the media, elated with “all things Planned Parenthood,” has failed to ask the obvious question regarding both of these events: why?

  • Why was the website scrubbed?
  • Why did Planned Parenthood, which, masquerades as a healthcare organization, reverse course from having a political organizer at the helm, who once claimed her goal was to make the organization, “the largest kick butt political organization”?
  • Why did Planned Parenthood pass up numerous doctors already on staff within the organization for the job?

Perhaps it’s because, after being embroiled in numerous scandals, abuses and fraud, including covering up for child sexual predators, Planned Parenthood, which receives half a billion dollars from taxpayers annually, has a serious image problem. Planned Parenthood is very effective at public relations — and it uses every possible distraction it can to get the public to stop looking at its multiple scandals and divert attention to other things. In this case, that distraction is its new president, Dr. Leana Wen.

Before accepting her position at the scandal-laden Planned Parenthood, Wen created the “Who’s My Doctor?” website, where she proposed complete transparency among physicians. Now that she has been tapped to head the largest abortion corporation in the country, her website, along with a physician’s manifesto, have been scrubbed.

Thanks to Way Back Machine, we can still read Wen’s vision:

Studies show that as many as 94% of doctors report an affiliation with and receive money from drug companies and medical device companies…. Many doctors’ salaries also depend on number of procedures done…. patients have a right to know what may be influencing their doctors’ recommendation about their health.

But Fox News has found holes in Wen’s personal transparency, reporting:

[O]n her own profile…Wen said she believes “in practicing what we preach” and listed $0 payments or gifts from any pharmaceutical or medical device companies.

But according to Dollars For Docs database, Wen received over $600 for “travel and lodging” from E. R. Squibb & Sons, L.L.C., a subsidiary of pharmaceutical giant Bristol-Myers Squibb Company that directly matches gifts to Planned Parenthood and is a corporate supporter of the Center for Reproductive Rights, a pro-abortion group.

Transparency among Planned Parenthood’s “doctors” would be a revealing resource for women before they decide to put their lives in these abortionists’ hands… but it’s doubtful Planned Parenthood would be so transparent about their employees, who have harmed and even killed women. Here are a handful of them:

Dr. Mandy Gittler

This Planned Parenthood abortionist was sued by the family of Tonya Reaves, a 24-year-old Black woman who was left to bleed out inside an Illinois facility after her abortion there. She died later at a hospital.

Dr. Laura Castleman

Castleman was allegedly involved in the tragic death of Cree-Erwin Shepherd,  a 24-year-old mother from Battle Creek, Michigan, who died after her Kalamazoo Planned Parenthood abortion.

Cree’s heartbroken brother shared his grief with Live Action in the video below:

Dr. Deborah Nucatola

Nucatola, Planned Parenthood’s director of medical services, was caught on tape by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) cavalierly eating and sipping wine while describing how she would “crush below” or “crush above” the  preborn children she aborted to monetize their body parts:

Dr. Mary Gatter

Also caught in the baby body parts scandal, this Planned Parenthood’s national Medical Directors’ Council President’s revealing statement, “I want a Lamborghini,” caused the American public to react with shock:

Dr. Timothy Fouch Liveright

Liveright worked for several Planned Parenthood facilities until he was outed by Planned Parenthood whistleblowers for his questionable care of patients and treatment of staff, who compared the abortionist to Kermit Gosnell, and accused him of sexually harassing employees and patients.

Timothy F Liveright

“I have noted Dr. Liveright inappropriately look up and down patients as well as staff members in a sexual kind of way. He actually stands back with a grin and slowly directs his eyes up and down a patient’s body,” Planned Parenthood RN Jayne Mitchell-Werbrich stated.

Jayne resigned from Planned Parenthood after her letters of complaint to management were ignored. The nurse also said she observed Liveright “acting condescending to African American patients by implying they were ignorant,” among other charges.

Liveright was accused of “unprofessional, disrespectful, and inappropriate” conduct, including “yelling, screaming, and cursing” in front of employees and patients and “sexual harassment of female employees.”

Dr. Larry Roy Glazerman

According to Operation Rescue, after beginning an abortion on a patient, this Planned Parenthood doc sent her to the ER to have the hospital complete the procedure.

Others

A number of Planned Parenthood “doctors” are behind what appear to be botched surgeries at its facilities across the nation. As an emergency room physician, Wen is likely to know about botched surgical abortions… yet the only thing we’ve heard from her at present is her claim to have seen a patient die from a “home abortion” that was not done at an abortion facility.

The 911 calls from abortion facilities are numerous. Here are just a few examples:

911 Call #1
911 Call #2
911 Call #3

Perhaps Wen’s website and manifesto were scrubbed because of her new employer’s breed of “doctors” running its facilities. After all, promoting full transparency as the head of America’s most profitable abortion business has to be counterproductive.
