Pro-life activist attacked last year reveals amazing story of baby saved that same day

In January 2019, pro-life activist Ryan Roberts was assaulted outside of Whole Woman’s Health abortion facility in Fort Worth, Texas. This week, he shared the incredible story of a baby girl whose life was saved moments before he was attacked.

“I had hesitated on the best time to share this story, but in the midst of everything going on in our world right now, I’m praying this encourages someone out there today,” Roberts wrote on Facebook. “This photo was messaged to me a few weeks ago and I wanted you to know who this little girl is. Last year, on the same day I was assaulted outside of the abortion clinic, I was able to pray with this little baby girls’ mother.”

I had hesitated on the best time to share this story, but in the midst of everything going on in our world right now,…

The expectant mom was outside of the abortion facility where Roberts was praying. She walked over to him with tears in her eyes and told him that she had changed her mind about abortion and had decided to keep her baby. Roberts prayed with her, and just moments later the man pulled up to the clinic who would soon attack Roberts.

About a year later, this young mother messaged Roberts to share with him a picture of her baby girl and she told him her birth date, which happens to be just days away from Roberts’ own daughter’s birthday.

“Listen, God is so good at turning painful things in our lives around for His purposes and plans,” wrote Roberts. “You never know how He is working during hard times in your life, but I encourage you to trust that He will work it all out for your good. This little baby is smiling and has a future awaiting her that I know is far beyond anything I can comprehend, but I want you to know that you can smile too and know that God’s plans for YOU are far beyond anything you can comprehend as well.”

Roberts also revealed in his March 17 Facebook post, that the night before these events transpired, he had a dream in which he was killed while outside of the abortion facility and saw his own body in a casket. When he awoke, he prayed about whether or not to go to the facility that day, knowing that at some point in time it would be likely that an abortion advocate may try to hurt him. However, Roberts strongly felt God calling him to go to the facility anyway.

After the man pulled up to the abortion facility, Roberts told him what he had been telling everyone who entered that day — that Jesus loved him. That’s when things started to go badly.

“When I told him that Jesus loved him, he screamed at me these words: ‘When have you ever told anybody about Jesus!?’ I responded by saying that I had just prayed with a girl who decided to keep her baby and I told her about Jesus,” explained Roberts. “Immediately after telling the man that, he jumped out of his truck and attacked me.”

The man asked Roberts if he wanted to die and if he wanted his family to die. He punched Roberts several times. Roberts was covered in blood when he turned on his video camera and told everyone he had been assaulted but it was okay. “Because Jesus was crucified. He was beaten and bloodied. For you,” he said. “Because He loves you. And He loves that little baby too!”
