Scandal-ridden California Planned Parenthood injures woman in botched abortion

Planned Parenthood

The Planned Parenthood business in Orange, California botched an abortion on June 26, 2020, sending a patient to the hospital for her injuries. This is the tenth botched abortion at this facility to be documented by pro-life watchdog group Operation Rescue.

Though it is the most efficient means to get a patient to the hospital, 911 was not called for this emergency. According to Operation Rescue, this means the facility called a private ambulance company to transport the woman to the emergency room. Abortion businesses have been using this new tactic to avoid public scrutiny when abortion patients are injured badly enough to require hospitalization. Because 911 was not called, there is no record of the injury with the City of Orange Fire Department. The condition of the patient remains unknown.

California has loosened safety requirements for abortion facilities in recent years, allowing abortionists to forgo hospital transfer agreements, which puts the health and safety of women at risk.

In 2017, the Department of Justice launched an investigation into Planned Parenthood in Orange County and its participation in the illegal sales of body parts from aborted babies. This Planned Parenthood was a supplier of body parts to DaVinci Biologics and DaVinci Biosciences which sold the babies’ organs, tissue, and bodies to researchers. The DaVinci companies admitted to illegally profiting from these sales and paid $7.8 million in a settlement.

More recently, Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties wrongly accepted $7.5 million in coronavirus stimulus forgivable loans from the Federal Payroll Protection Program. The Small Business Association sent a letter reminding Planned Parenthood that it was ineligible to receive those funds and that it would face criminal penalties if it did not return the money. However, the organization refused to comply. Federal law does not allow federal taxpayer dollars to be given to any organization that commits abortions.
