Sexual assault victim claims rapist offered to get her an abortion

Planned Parenthood, woman

A man accused of raping a child reportedly offered his victim an abortion, should she become pregnant.

47-year-old Jody Michael Wilson of Pennsylvania is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl repeatedly over a ten year period. The abuse began when she was 7, claims the alleged victim. She is now 17.

According to Penn Live, state police have released limited details about the case. Included in those details are the allegation that Wilson began sexually assaulting the victim when she was 7, and began raping her when she was 12.  At one point during this time, when he thought the victim was pregnant, Wilson allegedly offered her an abortion:

The victim said the attacks took place in the middle of the night while she was sleeping, according to police.

The girl said she would yell and cry but Wilson would tell her to “stop and be a big girl,” police said.

The girl recalled one occasion where Wilson broke down crying because her period was late and he believed she was pregnant, police said.

The girl said Wilson told her “we can get you an abortion” if she became pregnant, police said.

Penn Live reports that Wilson has been arrested and charged with multiple counts, including rape of a child.

Other rapists have utilized abortion to their advantage.
