#ShoutYourAbortion push shows Planned Parenthood is all about abortion first

In response to the U.S. House’s vote to defund Planned Parenthood (for a year, while Congressional investigations continue), pro-abortion Planned Parenthood supporters have been told to #ShoutYourAbortion.

On Twitter and Facebook, they’ve been doing exactly that, proudly exclaiming about the time they personally chose death for an innocent child. Yet, is the ability to speak of abortion – a violent procedure – in 140 characters or less truly impressive?

Or does it, instead, speak volumes to the real motivation of those who want to give over $500 million of our tax dollars to Planned Parenthood: promoting abortion at all costs?

Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood, proudly tweeted about the supposed fearlessness of shouting your abortion.

The woman Richards referenced wrote, in part: “[T]he narrative of those working to defund Planned Parenthood relies on the assumption that abortion is still something to be whispered about. … [H]aving an abortion made me happy in a totally unqualified way. Why wouldn’t I be happy that I wasn’t forced to become a mother?”

But wait…a suggestion from Cecile Richards that Planned Parenthood’s government funding and abortion are actually connected? Of course they are, as it’s while Planned Parenthood performs abortions that they rip babies limb from limb, “crush” the right parts so that the harvesting of baby organs is possible, and slice open the faces of babies born alive.

Could there be a more adequate reason for civilized Americans to want their $500 million in taxpayer dollars to be redirected to the more than 13,000 community and federally qualified health centers around the nation? These centers excellently serve low-income women and their families – at a far higher rate than Planned Parenthood – all without performing abortions.

While Planned Parenthood supporters are always quick to remind Americans that our tax dollars don’t pay for abortions, they ignore the well-known fact that money is fungible: if you fund one activity of an organization, it makes it infinitely easier for them to carry out a different activity.

Plus, with the release of the videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s willingness to break federal laws, how can we be confident that the abortion giant doesn’t do the same exact thing with tax money – using our hard-earned cash to pad their abortion income?

A number of people urged that it was much better to #ShoutYourAdoption, because, in adoption, women get to live the life they need while babies still have the chance to have a life. Adoption is something that Planned Parenthood is loathe to help women with, as demonstrated by the organization’s dismal adoption referral numbers.

Of course, #ShoutYourAbortion entirely ignores the human beings whose lives were ended in these same abortions – which is exactly what Planned Parenthood wants.

The woman below demonstrated the strength that so many women have (like the woman at the end of this article), when she described how, instead of aborting a baby she didn’t believe she was ready to have, she dumped her boyfriend who told her to have an abortion, and let her child live:

Twitter users called out #ShoutYourAbortion because it pushes the idea that inconvenient, unwanted human beings should be killed: a dangerous idea for any society, as history proves.

Some pro-life Twitter users agreed that women should #ShoutYourAbortion, but not with pride. Instead, they wished that women would seek healing and love, despite past mistakes.
