WATCH: Hannity says Planned Parenthood’s harvesting of baby body parts is ‘grotesque’ and ‘gruesome’

Last night, David Daleiden – the leader of the Center for Medical Progress and the man behind the Planned Parenthood investigative videos – went on air with Sean Hannity to discuss Planned Parenthood’s violation of federal laws.

Hannity stated that it’s more than the sale of baby body parts that’s at issue here – something he called “grotesque” and “gruesome.” Both investigative videos demonstrate the high likelihood that Planned Parenthood has broken multiple federal laws. As Hannity put it, “It’s against the law to perform abortions specifically designed to protect the lungs, the heart, or the liver.”

Both of Planned Parenthood’s top executives who were caught on video discussed modifying abortion procedures – or committing illegal partial-birth abortions – for the express purpose of collecting baby tissue.

As I wrote previously in “Did Planned Parenthood commit criminal conspiracy? An in-depth look”:

Take, for example, this statement by Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Senior Director of Medical Services for Planned Parenthood Federation of America:

“Partial-birth abortion. It’s not a medical term, it doesn’t exist in reality. … [N]umber 1, the Federal Abortion Ban is a law, and laws are up to interpretation. So there are people who interpret it as intent. So if I say on Day 1 I do not intend to do this, what ultimately happens doesn’t matter. Because I didn’t intend to do this on Day 1 so I’m complying with the law…”

Except that she’s not. In no way does a conjured up “intent” on “Day 1″ make an illegal abortion procedure legal.

Nucatola also said this, in discussing how she and other abortionists would be willing to change abortion procedure to collect tissue for a buyer:

I think it helps to have a relationship with the provider, because if you do, you can have this conversation with them, and you can say, this is what we’re looking for today, and they’re more apt to [keep it in the back of their mind]…Of course I want to help.

Dr. Mary Gatter was perhaps even more obvious in her willingness to break the law to collect fetal body parts:

Let me explain to you a little bit of a problem, which may not be a big problem, if our usual technique is suction, at 10 to 12 weeks, and we switch to using an IPAS or something with less suction, and increase the odds that it will come out as an intact specimen, then we’re kind of violating the protocol that says to the patient, “We’re not doing anything different in our care of you.”

Now to me, that’s kind of a specious little argument and I wouldn’t object to asking Ian, who’s our surgeon who does the cases, to use an IPAS at that gestational age in order to increase the odds that he’s going to get an intact specimen, but I do need to throw it out there as a concern. Because the patient is signing something and we’re signing something saying that we’re not changing anything with the way we’re managing you, just because we agree to give tissue. … So yeah, I’m not making a fuss about that.

No wonder Daleiden says that Planned Parenthood has “held themselves above the law.” He continues: “This is offensive to the American public; it’s offensive to us as human beings; it violates human dignity, and it needs to stop.” Daleiden also reported that, so far, there are eight state and three congressional investigations pending.

He also informed Hannity that there was “even worse” to come. With only two videos out, the American public has already reeled with horror and outrage.

People are responding with a lot of shock and a lot of disgust at the fact that Planned Parenthood is harvesting and selling the body parts from aborted babies and doing so all the way with half a billion taxpayer dollars every, single year.

Although, according to Daleiden, Planned Parenthood has been doing this “for decades,” this may be the time in history where it all stops. As Hannity put it:

Not only in both tapes are they basically saying, “Well, the law’s up to interpretation,” they pretty much are acknowledging that they know it’s against the law. Then they’re quibbling over prices. Then they’re talking about buying Lamborghinis. Then they’re talking about how they do it so they don’t ruin the specimens and crushing this part of the baby and not that part of the baby.

Grotesque. Gruesome.
